Nostalgic, romantic and timeless wedding photography captured on 35mm & 120 film.
Are you searching for an Ottawa or Canadian wedding photographer that shoots hybrid, on digital and film for your wedding? I’m so glad you found me!
I offer film photography as an add on and part of my packages for sessions and weddings. I use 35mm and 120 film. Some of my cameras include the Canon EOS-1, Contax G1, Olympus Zoom and Fujifilm GA645 Pro (for all you fellow film lovers).
Some people might ask, why film?
Film photography has a specific look that’s hard to recreate digitally. It’s nostalgic, romantic and feels like a memory. It also adds a creative and sometimes imperfect personal touch to your full gallery that feels so special and real. The physical aspect of developing film adds so much more life anticipating the result.
How many rolls of film is enough to cover your day? I recommend 2-6 rolls of film for a full 8-10 hour day, which will give you between 72-200 scans (digital images). Each of my wedding packages include one roll of film already, but you can add more to your package. You can also add film to your engagement session, 1 is enough!
How does it work? Throughout our session or on your wedding day, I’ll be switching between my film cameras and digital cameras, mixing both for certain moments. Once the day’s over, I send them off to be developed and scanned by All Things Film. You can expect the film photos in your full gallery and have the option to receive your original negatives (the physical film after it’s been developed).
I’ve compiled all of my favourite film photos from weddings ranging from Ottawa, Canada – Oregon, USA. Keep scrolling to see!
