An Italian Alfresco Inspired Wedding at Evermore in Ottawa
When a graphic designer plans and designs their wedding, you know it’s going to blow you away. Sarah and Phil’s wedding at Evermore Wedding’s in Ottawa did exactly that! It was without a doubt beautiful, down to every personal detail.
Sarah and Phil wanted their day to feel like they were back in Italy, having an alfresco celebration with their loved ones, with good music and good times.
From the sailcloth tent, champagne tower, rose filled aisle, stationery and decor, (even the weather) created an inspiring story of their day. It was romantic, timeless, luxurious and heartfelt. Paired with Evermore, it was the perfect venue for their celebrations.
The best part of their day was the amazing energy and time with those closest to them, even their dog Winston! They wanted to spend as much time with their guests as possible and enjoy the cocktail hour. In capturing a majority of the family photos before the ceremony, this allowed us to do the champagne tower and enjoy the rest of the cocktail hour with their guests. You really can do whatever you’d like on your day!
Sarah started her morning prep at home and did the finishing touches in the Historic Naismith Home on Evermore’s property. Having a location on site for prep or stay is so helpful. You have a dedicated space to get dressed, be away from guests while they arrive and have a place to sleep and store your belongings.
Groom prep doesn’t have to look a certain way and be at home or a hotel. We captured Phil’s getting ready moments at Evermore and still got beautiful and candid photo’s. Doing this also helps you save on getting a second photographer or on hours of coverage since there is no travel time needed.

It was an ABSOLUTE pleasure experiencing this day and capturing Sarah and Phil becoming husband and wife. They’re two kind, fun, talented humans that are so clearly loved and appreciated by those around them. You put together an incredibly special day. Congratulations again!
