Gabrielle and Jared flew from Vancouver to have an intimate elopement with family at the Armstrong Estate outside of Ottawa.
It was a lovely spring day with colourful blooms from Maison Anthea and the best macrons I’ve ever tasted from Dulce Cake Design.
The best part about eloping and booking an all inclusive package is that you ultimately have as little fuss as possible. Gabrielle at The Armstrong Estate took care of all of us and gave the couple a beautiful afternoon.
Gabrielle’s sister officiated the ceremony and I love the spring colors they all wore, it tied in so perfectly. Although there were only 7 people at their ceremony, it had no shortage of tears or laughter. They said their I do’s, tossed confetti, ate charcuterie and celebrated with cake and toasts.
Some people believe that an elopement or micro wedding will feel “less”. Less energy, significance, fun etc – but that is so far from the truth. Once you’re saying your vows and with your closest people, you’re transported to a special moment that’s so surreal.
If you’re also a big fan of old homes, the countryside and are planning an intimate wedding day, I would recommend checking out The Armstrong Estate!
