Anna and Felix brought me to Dundurn Castle in Hamilton Ontario for their engagement session and it was the most unexpected location for being in the city.
I’m super fortunate to get to travel all across Canada and the world to document your love stories. Although, it seemed I brought along Ottawa’s rainy weather. The theme this summer has been beautiful sunny skies and 10 minutes into shooting, rain. I’m all about embracing the rain, especially when it’s a warm summer day and we’re hanging out on Dundurn Castle grounds.
Who would have thought there’d be a castle on the shoreline in Hamilton, Ontario. Not me lol. But it was a really beautiful evening with Anna and Felix who filled me in on the fun of their engagement party and all that’s to come for their wedding at the OAG next year.
I brought along my handy dandy 35mm film camera and it did not disappoint – scroll to the end to see. These days I typically bring 3-4 cameras to my shoots. My film camera collection is growing way too easily, but it’s the most fun to dive into and invest in!
While we were at Dundurn Castle we witnessed a proposal and it was so sweet to watch behind the corner as he surprised her with a huge lit up heart arch and candles every where – it was like watching a movie.
It’s never a dull moment on our sessions and it definitely won’t be for Anna and Felix’s wedding next year. They’re two super sweet, fun and genuine people who will no doubt be showered with love on their day.
Keep scrolling to see all that we got up to during this rainy evening and save if you’re making your way to Dundurn Castle!
